GreenTech Forum Slovenija 2018

Conference & Concurrent event to Bled Strategic Forum

12 September 2018

The GreenTech Forum Bled highlights the importance of the transition to a green economy that, with many innovations, brings new global opportunities in the environmental, social and economic fields.

A general commitment to achieving sustainable goals is not enough. A green economy can be a business opportunity for both an individual company and the economy. Movements and activities must primarily begin at the highest level of organization management.

The priority of the GreenTech Forum Bled is that the Slovenian green economy is exposed as an important player in the international environment and therefore enables various bilateral connections and international opportunities.

The Forum will connect various actors which can positively influence a better strategy for the development of the green economy in Slovenia. We want to emphasize that it is the responsibility of decision-makers and representatives of the economy to act swiftly and contribute to the transformation of the economy towards sustainable development. In this context, consideration should be given to all stakeholders in the entire sustainable chain of businesses and organizations (from management, employees, processes, infrastructure, sales channels to end-users).

The purpose of the Forum is also to raise awareness of the Slovenian economy and to present best practises and challenges of Slovenian companies that are already implementing their own transformation and transition to the green economy. At the Forum, we want to come up with new suggestions for activities that will lead to future strategic and operational solutions, cooperation and greater visibility of the Slovenian green economy, new environmentally friendly technologies, green jobs and more efficient management of natural resources.

The objective of the event is to raise awareness that the green economy, with sustainable effects on the environment, society and economy, can become the mission and business goal of all companies and organizations.

Invited:

- Managers of Slovenian and foreign companies who are working for the development of the green economy, who are seeking international connections and economic opportunities;

- Representatives of decision-makers and of the academic sector working in the field of development and promotion of the green economy.
