Audi e-tron is the first fully electrically powered series production model from the brand with the four rings. The company presented its sporty and functionally designed premium SUV to the global public for the first time in September 2018.
Standing still or on the move, Audi e-tron is electrifying. Distinctive sill area, charging port cover and a light grey single-frame grille clearly suggest that the vehicle has a high-voltage drive, which is the key to unique pleasure in driving. Two electric motors deliver high power, while also making sure the CO2 balance is locally neutral and that the electric SUV is virtually silent while you drive. The key to enormous pulling power and excellent dynamics is also the new generation of the Quattro drive: electric four-wheel-drive system. Thanks to continuous and variable regulation, it delivers ideal torque distribution between the front and rear wheel, while any adjustments will be handled within fractions of a second.
Its sporty character and outstanding transverse dynamics are among other things the results of a low and centrally placed battery pack. This delivers a range that is sufficient for long distances, too. During far more than 90% of all decelerations, Audi e-Tron recovers energy solely via its electric motors. The electric SUV taps its maximum recuperation potential in combination with the integrated electrohydraulic brake control system. Audi is the world’s first automaker to use such a system in an electrically powered series production vehicle. The cleverly designed aerodynamics also contribute significantly to its efficiency. One highlight of this concept is the optional virtual exterior mirrors – a worldwide first in a series production model. Not only do they reduce aerodynamic drag, but they also take digitalization in the vehicle to a whole new level.

Audi e-tron rolls off the assembly line at the CO2-neutral plant in Brussels. First European buyers will be able to get their vehicle in early 2019.
